Embark on a captivating day tour to explore the wildlife and natural wonders near Sandakan. This excursion includes visits to the renowned Gomantong Cave, known for its natural formations and wildlife inhabitants, and the scenic Kinabatangan River, where you’ll experience the serene beauty of either Bilit or Sukau Village while immersing in the rich biodiversity of the area.
Upon your arrival at Sandakan Airport (flight TBA hrs) or from your hotel lobby in Sandakan at 0945 AM, we’ll begin our journey. Prepare for an approximately 2-hour overland transfer to Gomantong Cave, Sabah’s largest bird’s nest cave, for an enthralling exploration.
Following the cave visit, we’ll proceed to Kinabatangan River, either Bilit or Sukau village, for a delightful lunch. At 1600 hrs, enjoy a scenic boat cruise along the Kinabatangan River, offering the opportunity to spot the intriguing proboscis monkeys gathering by the riverbank. The riverbanks are also home to various bird species and abundant wildlife, providing an enchanting experience.
After the cruise, we’ll depart from Bilit or Sukau village and return to Sandakan, concluding the day with a transfer back to your hotel in Sandakan.

- All reservations must be completed before the departure date.
- No refund is available for cancellation after the tour has commenced or in respect of any accommodation ground transportation or any other services.
- If you wish to cancel your booking once it has been confirmed, a cancellation charge of 50% of tour fees will be imposed.
- Accommodation: A 100% NON-REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT of the total accommodation cost is required to confirm the reservation of all types of accommodation i.e. Chalet, Hotel, or Resort. A fee will be imposed if any amendment, cancellation, or number of persons or rooms reduced is made after the booking is confirmed.
- Changing the date is only available for those tour packages which don’t include a chalet, hotel, or resort on Island once the booking has been confirmed.
- If the number of travelers is an odd number, a single supplement (adult or children) with an additional 70% charge of the adult price is applicable.
- Child Policy:
- The child rate is 70% of the adult rate.
- The child is an individual aged 2 to 10 years old (Proof of birth certificate is required).
- The child rate is applicable when traveling with TWO (2) paying Adults.
- We highly recommend all tour members purchase accident, baggage, and general liability insurance to protect their travel plans.
- The organizer has the sole and absolute discretion to cancel or shorten the duration of any tour in the event of force majeure, hostilities, accident, or other circumstances beyond the control of the organizer which render it necessary in the organizer’s reasonable opinion that such steps be taken. The organizer shall be relieved from all liabilities and obligations resulting therefrom. The organizer assumes no responsibility or liability for any injury, damage, loss, or accident with any services resulting directly or indirectly from acts of God, strikes, government regulations, theft, failure of any means, discrepancies, or changes of which it has no control.
