Embark on an enriching 4-day journey exploring a multitude of iconic destinations near Sandakan. Commencing with an excursion to Selingan Turtle Island, witness the captivating sight of turtles laying eggs and explore the hatchery. Proceed to the Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre and the Bornean Sun Bear Conservation Centre, engaging with the orangutans and sun bears in their conservation efforts. Day 1 – Upon your arrival at Sandakan Airport or the hotel lobby in Sandakan, you’ll be transferred to Crystal Quest Jetty for a scenic boat ride to Selingan Turtle Island. Settle into your chalet, indulge in lunch at the cafeteria, and enjoy leisure time, with options for snorkeling and swimming. Later, witness the extraordinary sight of turtles laying eggs, followed by a visit to the hatchery. Spend the night at the Selingan Island Chalet.
Day 2 – Begin your day with breakfast at the island’s cafeteria before returning to the mainland. Travel to the Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre for the morning feeding session and captivating documentaries. Continue to the Bornean Sun Bear Conservation Centre before journeying to Sukau or Bilit along the Kinabatangan River. Check-in at your accommodation, followed by an afternoon river cruise to spot proboscis monkeys and diverse wildlife. End the day with dinner and a potential night walk. Overnight at Sukau or Bilit.
Day 3 – Experience a morning cruise for bird watching and wildlife exploration, followed by breakfast at the lodge. Engage in a jungle walk (subject to weather conditions), returning for lunch. The afternoon brings another river cruise to encounter more wildlife. Enjoy dinner and spend the night at Sukau or Bilit.
Day 4 – After breakfast, depart for Gomantong Cave, renowned for its bird’s nest collection. Return to Sandakan, visiting Puu Jih Shih for a panoramic view and indulging in lunch at a local restaurant. Explore Sandakan’s landmarks including St. Michael’s Church, the Central Market, Agnes Keith House, and Sim-Sim Water Village before transferring to Sandakan Airport or your hotel.

Raincoat, hat/cap, insect repellent, sun lotion, drinking water, extra batteries for the camera, torchlight, leech socks (for jungle trekking), good walking shoes/sandals, and casual wear are recommended.

- All reservations must be completed before the departure date.
- No refund is available for cancellation after the tour has commenced or in respect of any accommodation ground transportation or any other services.
- If you wish to cancel your booking once it has been confirmed, a cancellation charge of 50% of tour fees will be imposed.
- Accommodation: A 100% NON-REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT of the total accommodation cost is required to confirm the reservation of all types of accommodation i.e. Chalet, Hotel, or Resort. A fee will be imposed if any amendment, cancellation, or number of persons or rooms reduced is made after the booking is confirmed.
- Changing the date is only available for those tour packages which don’t include a chalet, hotel, or resort on Island once the booking has been confirmed.
- If the number of travelers is an odd number, a single supplement (adult or children) with an additional 70% charge of the adult price is applicable.
- Child Policy:
- The child rate is 70% of the adult rate.
- The child is an individual aged 2 to 10 years old (Proof of birth certificate is required).
- The child rate is applicable when traveling with TWO (2) paying Adults.
- Important Details:
- Changing date is NOT available after the booking is confirmed for the accommodation on the island.
- In the event that ONE (1) Adult and ONE (1) Child will be considered as 2 Adults tour fare.
- Selingan Turtle Island accommodation is a Private Twin Sharing room with an attached Bathroom and Aircon.
- Accommodation at Selingan Turtle Island is a maximum of 2 adults and 1 child below or equal to 10 years old (1 extra bed) only in one room. No triple rooms.
- We highly recommend all tour members purchase accident, baggage, and general liability insurance to protect their travel plans.
- The organizer has the sole and absolute discretion to cancel or shorten the duration of any tour in the event of force majeure, hostilities, accident, or other circumstances beyond the control of the organizer which render it necessary in the organizer’s reasonable opinion that such steps be taken. The organizer shall be relieved from all liabilities and obligations resulting therefrom. The organizer assumes no responsibility or liability for any injury, damage, loss, or accident with any services resulting directly or indirectly from acts of God, strikes, government regulations, theft, failure of any means, discrepancies, or changes of which it has no control.
