Embark on a captivating 4-day journey to explore the diverse wildlife and natural wonders near Sandakan. Begin your adventure with a visit to Gomantong Cave, renowned for its massive bird’s nest collection. Traverse the picturesque Kinabatangan River at Bilit or Sukau Village, taking boat cruises to witness the enchanting proboscis monkeys and an array of wildlife along the riverbanks. Head to Labuk Bay Proboscis Monkey Sanctuary for an up-close encounter with these fascinating primates. The journey continues with a visit to the renowned Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre, where you can witness the feeding of orphaned orangutans and learn about conservation efforts. Conclude your exploration at the Bornean Sun Bear Conservation Centre, dedicated to the rescue and rehabilitation of sun bears. This immersive tour offers an unforgettable experience, combining natural cave exploration, river cruises, and encounters with iconic wildlife in the heart of Sabah, Malaysia.
Day 1 – Upon your arrival at Sandakan Airport on flight TBA hrs, you’ll be transferred to Hotel Sandakan for check-in. The afternoon offers leisure time to unwind. At 1830 hrs, we’ll escort you to a local restaurant for a delightful dinner, followed by an overnight stay at Hotel Sandakan.
Day 2 – Commence your day with breakfast at 0830 hrs before embarking on an overland journey to Gomantong Cave, the largest bird’s nest cave in Sabah. From there, proceed to Bilit, Kinabatangan. Following check-in and lunch at your accommodation, enjoy free time until a 1600 hrs boat cruise along the Kinabatangan River. This scenic adventure presents opportunities to spot proboscis monkeys and a diverse range of birds and wildlife. Return to the lodge for dinner and partake in a night walk, weather permitting. Overnight at Bilit.
Day 3 – Begin your morning with a boat cruise at 0600 hrs, indulging in bird watching and wildlife observation. After breakfast, around 0830 hrs, return to Sandakan and visit the Labuk Bay Proboscis Monkey Sanctuary, where you’ll witness the monkeys’ feeding session and a captivating documentary. Lunch at a local restaurant follows, after which you’ll return to Hotel Sandakan for check-in. The evening grants leisure time until dinner at a local restaurant, after which we’ll drop you back at Hotel Sandakan. Overnight at Hotel Sandakan.
Day 4 – At 0815 hrs, join us for breakfast before traveling to the renowned Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre. Witness the captivating feeding of orphaned orangutans and enjoy an enlightening documentary at 1000 hrs. The journey continues to the Bornean Sun Bear Conservation Centre. Post-tour, savor lunch at a local restaurant before concluding your trip with a transfer to Sandakan Airport at TBA hrs.

No Red/Bright Clothing, No Jewellery, and Do not carry food into the reserve.
Raincoat, hat/cap, insect repellent, sun lotion, drinking water, extra batteries for the camera, torchlight, leech socks (for jungle trekking), good walking shoes/sandals, and casual wear are recommended.

- All reservations must be completed before the departure date.
- No refund is available for cancellation after the tour has commenced or in respect of any accommodation ground transportation or any other services.
- If you wish to cancel your booking once it has been confirmed, a cancellation charge of 50% of tour fees will be imposed.
- Accommodation: A 100% NON-REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT of the total accommodation cost is required to confirm the reservation of all types of accommodation i.e. Chalet, Hotel, or Resort. A fee will be imposed if any amendment, cancellation, or number of persons or rooms reduced is made after the booking is confirmed.
- Changing the date is only available for those tour packages which don’t include a chalet, hotel, or resort on Island once the booking has been confirmed.
- If the number of travelers is an odd number, a single supplement (adult or children) with an additional 70% charge of the adult price is applicable.
- Child Policy:
- The child rate is 70% of the adult rate.
- The child is an individual aged 2 to 10 years old (Proof of birth certificate is required).
- The child rate is applicable when traveling with TWO (2) paying Adults.
- We highly recommend all tour members purchase accident, baggage, and general liability insurance to protect their travel plans.
- The organizer has the sole and absolute discretion to cancel or shorten the duration of any tour in the event of force majeure, hostilities, accident, or other circumstances beyond the control of the organizer which render it necessary in the organizer’s reasonable opinion that such steps be taken. The organizer shall be relieved from all liabilities and obligations resulting therefrom. The organizer assumes no responsibility or liability for any injury, damage, loss, or accident with any services resulting directly or indirectly from acts of God, strikes, government regulations, theft, failure of any means, discrepancies, or changes of which it has no control.
