Embark on a captivating 5-day journey to explore the rich biodiversity and cultural heritage of Sabah. Begin with Labuk Bay Proboscis Monkey Sanctuary, witnessing the endearing proboscis monkeys in their natural habitat, then head to Selingan Turtle Island for a rendezvous with nesting turtles and a dive into marine wonders. Delve into wildlife conservation at Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre and the Bornean Sun Bear Conservation Centre, observing orphaned orangutans and sun bears. Traverse the Kinabatangan River at Bilit or Sukau Village, uncovering the region’s diverse wildlife. Explore the mystical Gomantong Cave, marveling at its vastness. Immerse in local life at the Central Market and Sim-Sim Water Village, before ascending Puu Jih Shih for panoramic vistas and visiting the historic St. Michael’s Church and Agnes Keith House, culminating in an enriching adventure across Sabah’s natural splendor and cultural heritage.
Day 1 – Upon arrival at Sandakan Airport by TBA hrs flight, transfer to Sandakan Hotel for check-in. Enjoy a delightful lunch at a local restaurant, followed by an intriguing overland journey to Labuk Bay Proboscis Monkey Sanctuary. Witness the captivating feeding session of the Proboscis monkeys amidst the oil palm plantation, complemented by an informative documentary. Post-tour, return to Sandakan Hotel. In the evening at 1900 hrs, experience a local culinary delight at a nearby restaurant before retiring for the night at Sandakan Hotel.
Day 2 – Commence the day after breakfast with a transfer from Sandakan Town to Crystal Quest Jetty. Embark on a scenic hour-long boat ride to Selingan Turtle Island. Upon arrival, settle into a comfortable chalet with basic amenities and relish lunch at the island’s cafeteria. The afternoon allows leisure time for activities like snorkeling and swimming, offering a glimpse into marine wonders. Later, await the ranger’s call at the cafeteria for a rare opportunity to witness turtle egg laying and visit the hatchery. Overnight stay at Selingan Island Chalet.
Day 3 – Begin the day early with breakfast at 0630 hrs before departing from Selingan Island to the mainland. Transfer to the renowned Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre for the inspiring morning feeding session of orphaned orangutans, coupled with an insightful documentary screening. Proceed to the Bornean Sun Bear Conservation Centre. Subsequently, a journey of approximately 2 hours to Sukau or Bilit, Kinabatangan, and settle into accommodations with basic facilities. Enjoy leisure time before a riveting boat cruise at 1600 hrs, exploring the intriguing gathering of proboscis monkeys by the Kinabatangan River. Dinner and an optional night walk conclude the day. Overnight stay at Sukau or Bilit.
Day 4 – Embrace the morning tranquility with a bird-watching boat cruise and wildlife exploration after breakfast. Engage in a jungle walk, subject to weather conditions, followed by a relaxing lodge lunch. Later in the afternoon, embark on another river cruise, reveling in the diverse wildlife sightings. Return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay at Sukau or Bilit.
Day 5 – Post-breakfast at 0800 hrs, depart from Sukau or Bilit for an overland journey to Gomantong Cave, an awe-inspiring Sabah bird’s nest cave. After the exploration, return to Sandakan and relish a local restaurant lunch. The day continues with visits to the bustling Central Market, the serene Sim-Sim Water Village, the picturesque Puu Jih Shih with its colorful interior, and the historic St. Michael’s Church and Agnes Keith House. Conclude the tour with a drop-off at Sandakan Airport for a TBA hrs flight departure.

No Red/Bright Clothing, No Jewellery, and Do not carry food into the reserve.
Raincoat, hat/cap, insect repellent, sun lotion, drinking water, extra batteries for the camera, torchlight, leech socks (for jungle trekking), good walking shoes/sandals, and casual wear are recommended.

- All reservations must be completed before the departure date.
- No refund is available for cancellation after the tour has commenced or in respect of any accommodation ground transportation or any other services.
- If you wish to cancel your booking once it has been confirmed, a cancellation charge of 50% of tour fees will be imposed.
- Accommodation: A 100% NON-REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT of the total accommodation cost is required to confirm the reservation of all types of accommodation i.e. Chalet, Hotel, or Resort. A fee will be imposed if any amendment, cancellation, or number of persons or rooms reduced is made after the booking is confirmed.
- Changing the date is only available for those tour packages which don’t include a chalet, hotel, or resort on Island once the booking has been confirmed.
- If the number of travelers is an odd number, a single supplement (adult or children) with an additional 70% charge of the adult price is applicable.
- Child Policy:
- The child rate is 70% of the adult rate.
- The child is an individual aged 2 to 10 years old (Proof of birth certificate is required).
- The child rate is applicable when traveling with TWO (2) paying Adults.
- Important Details:
- Changing date is NOT available after the booking is confirmed for the accommodation on the island.
- In the event that ONE (1) Adult and ONE (1) Child will be considered as 2 Adults tour fare.
- Selingan Turtle Island accommodation is a Private Twin Sharing room with an attached Bathroom and Aircon.
- Accommodation at Selingan Turtle Island is a maximum of 2 adults and 1 child below or equal to 10 years old (1 extra bed) only in one room. No triple rooms.
- We highly recommend all tour members purchase accident, baggage, and general liability insurance to protect their travel plans.
- The organizer has the sole and absolute discretion to cancel or shorten the duration of any tour in the event of force majeure, hostilities, accident, or other circumstances beyond the control of the organizer which render it necessary in the organizer’s reasonable opinion that such steps be taken. The organizer shall be relieved from all liabilities and obligations resulting therefrom. The organizer assumes no responsibility or liability for any injury, damage, loss, or accident with any services resulting directly or indirectly from acts of God, strikes, government regulations, theft, failure of any means, discrepancies, or changes of which it has no control.
