Embark on a six-day adventure in Sandakan, diving into its rich offerings of wildlife, nature, and historical landmarks. The journey commences at Selingan Turtle Island, known for its captivating marine life and turtle conservation efforts. Explore the majestic Gomantong Cave, a haven for swiftlets and home to unique ecosystems. Cruise along the Kinabatangan River at Bilit or Sukau Village, encountering diverse wildlife like proboscis monkeys. Engage with the gentle orangutans at Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre and witness the endearing Bornean Sun Bear Conservation Centre. Experience the spiritual charm of Puu Jih Shih Temple, followed by visits to Sandakan’s Central Market, Sim-Sim Water Village, St. Michael’s Church, Agnes Keith House, and the fascinating Labuk Bay Proboscis Monkey Sanctuary, unveiling the cultural and historical tapestry of Sandakan.
Day 1 – Upon arrival at Sandakan Airport by flight TBA hrs, you’ll be warmly transferred to Hotel Sandakan for check-in. The afternoon is yours to enjoy at leisure. At 1830 hrs, immerse yourself in a delightful dining experience at a local restaurant. Later, return to Hotel Sandakan for an overnight stay.
Day 2 – A day of adventure begins after breakfast as you’re picked up from your Sandakan hotel and whisked to Crystal Quest Jetty. From there, a scenic hour-long boat ride takes you to Selingan Turtle Island. Upon arrival, settle into the chalet and relish lunch at the cafeteria. The afternoon offers opportunities for leisurely activities like snorkeling and swimming. After dinner, await the rangers’ call to witness the enchanting sight of turtles laying eggs and visit the hatchery. Spend the night at Selingan Island Chalet.
Day 3 – Rise early for breakfast at 0630 hrs before departing Selingan Island to embark on a captivating journey. An overland transfer of approximately 2 hours brings you to Gomantong Cave, renowned as Sabah’s largest bird’s nest cave. Following this exploration, proceed to Bilit, Kinabatangan, where basic accommodation awaits. After lunch, partake in a thrilling boat cruise along the Kinabatangan River, seeking out proboscis monkeys and diverse bird species. Return to the lodge for dinner and, weather permitting, a night walk. Rest overnight at Bilit.
Day 4 – Another early start at 0600 hrs for a morning river cruise dedicated to birdwatching and wildlife discovery. After breakfast, engage in a jungle walk, subject to weather conditions, before returning to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, enjoy another river cruise to spot wildlife, concluding with dinner and an overnight stay at Bilit.
Day 5 – After a 0700 hrs breakfast, journey back to Sandakan. Begin your day with a visit to Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre to witness the feeding of orphaned orangutans and watch an informative documentary. Next, explore the Bornean Sun Bear Conservation Centre. Your journey continues with a visit to the Chinese Temple at Puu Jih Shih, boasting vibrant interiors and scenic views. Lunch at Hotel Sandakan precedes visits to the Central Market, Sim-Sim Water Village, St. Michael’s Church, and the observation pavilion for a panoramic view of Sandakan and Agnes Keith House. Dinner at a local restaurant follows, ending the day at Hotel Sandakan for an overnight stay.
Day 6 – Commence your day with breakfast at 0815 hrs before being transported to Labuk Bay Proboscis Monkey Sanctuary. The tour offers an up-close encounter with proboscis monkeys during their feeding time at 0930 hrs, complemented by an enlightening documentary viewing. After the tour, indulge in lunch at a local restaurant before proceeding to Sandakan Airport for your flight at TBA hrs.

No Red/Bright Clothing, No Jewellery, and Do not carry food into the reserve.
Raincoat, hat/cap, insect repellent, sun lotion, drinking water, extra batteries for the camera, torchlight, leech socks (for jungle trekking), good walking shoes/sandals, and casual wear are recommended.

- All reservations must be completed before the departure date.
- No refund is available for cancellation after the tour has commenced or in respect of any accommodation ground transportation or any other services.
- If you wish to cancel your booking once it has been confirmed, a cancellation charge of 50% of tour fees will be imposed.
- Accommodation: A 100% NON-REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT of the total accommodation cost is required to confirm the reservation of all types of accommodation i.e. Chalet, Hotel, or Resort. A fee will be imposed if any amendment, cancellation, or number of persons or rooms reduced is made after the booking is confirmed.
- Changing the date is only available for those tour packages which don’t include a chalet, hotel, or resort on Island once the booking has been confirmed.
- If the number of travelers is an odd number, a single supplement (adult or children) with an additional 70% charge of the adult price is applicable.
- Child Policy:
- The child rate is 70% of the adult rate.
- The child is an individual aged 2 to 10 years old (Proof of birth certificate is required).
- The child rate is applicable when traveling with TWO (2) paying Adults.
- Important Details:
- Changing date is NOT available after the booking is confirmed for the accommodation on the island.
- In the event that ONE (1) Adult and ONE (1) Child will be considered as 2 Adults tour fare.
- Selingan Turtle Island accommodation is a Private Twin Sharing room with an attached Bathroom and Aircon.
- Accommodation at Selingan Turtle Island is a maximum of 2 adults and 1 child below or equal to 10 years old (1 extra bed) only in one room. No triple rooms.
- We highly recommend all tour members purchase accident, baggage, and general liability insurance to protect their travel plans.
- The organizer has the sole and absolute discretion to cancel or shorten the duration of any tour in the event of force majeure, hostilities, accident, or other circumstances beyond the control of the organizer which render it necessary in the organizer’s reasonable opinion that such steps be taken. The organizer shall be relieved from all liabilities and obligations resulting therefrom. The organizer assumes no responsibility or liability for any injury, damage, loss, or accident with any services resulting directly or indirectly from acts of God, strikes, government regulations, theft, failure of any means, discrepancies, or changes of which it has no control.
